AKC Registered Siberian Huskies
Raised in a Loving Environment

Thank you for choosing one of our Siberian husky puppies!!  We are sure you will enjoy your new pet as
much as we enjoy ours.  Our huskies are raised in a loving environment and are given lots of attention.
They will make you and your family a loving companion and a great pet.

Our puppies come with full AKC registration papers.  You will need to carefully fill out the form and mail it in
to have your puppy registered.  American Kennel Club (AKC) will charge a small fee of $15.00 to register
the pup.  The pups are dewormed at 4 weeks and 6 weeks and are given their first shots at 5 weeks. You
will receive a shot record for your pup that will explain this in further detail with the name of the medication
used.   They will be due for another shot at 8 weeks and again at 12 weeks.  Rabies shots are due also at
12 weeks.  These shots are very important and could save your pups life.  We strongly recommend that
you follow through with the shot cycle to prevent disease and death.  The shots are extremely important
because the pup is not protected from life threatening diseases until he/she receives all vaccinations.

Huskies tend to have sensitive stomachs.  They are fairly picky about what food they can eat without
getting diarrhea.  They need high fat, high protein, preferably meat as the number one ingredient in dry
dog food.  Table scraps or wet dog food will aggravate their stomachs.  We feed our pups D
iamond
Naturals
Puppy Chow and our adults eat Diamond Naturals.

Remember that huskies need plenty of shade in the summer.  They will shed their winter coat at some point
in early summer.  This is called “blow-coating” and will require brushing to speed up the process.  They
love to be groomed and brushed and are usually very patient and appreciative of their grooming.  They
also love to play in water.  We usually keep a large, deep metal trough full of water for them to cool off in.

Huskies are very smart dogs but they are also very stubborn.  They tend to want to make the rules and do
things in their own time.  They will need to be trained to walk on a leash.  We live in the country and have a
large open area for them to play in so we do not use a leash with them.  Please be patient with them.  We
have played and loved on them since they were first born.  They have been raised around other animals
and small children.  However it has been our experience that they do not like cats.  So please be careful if
you have cats and be sure they are around each other quite a bit as they grow up so they will hopefully be
on friendly terms.

Your pup may be a little nervous when you first receive him/her especially if it has been shipped by
plane.  It will warm up and show it’s great personality in a short amount of time.  We usually sit in the floor
with the pups when we bring them in so this may help to calm him/her down.  Your pup will not be paper-
trained or house broken.  Again we live in a large area in the country so they have lots of room to play and
run outside so they are primarily raised outside.  There are plenty of websites on the internet to give you
information on the breed and on training them if you are interested.

We hope you enjoy your new puppy. If you have any problems at all, do not hesitate to call us at 256-582-
0775.  We will be glad to help in any way.

Thanks again for your confidence in our beautiful pups.
